Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the Islamic Personal Development Program (BPI) in forming students' Islamic character, success factors and inhibiting factors as well as solutions that will be implemented in the
future.

This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The data collection techniques used by researchers include interviews, observation and documentation. Interviews were conducted with the foundation supervisor, principal, deputy principal for curriculum, student affairs, HR department, and 2 teachers.

The results of this research show that the implementation of the Islamic Personal Development Program (BPI) at SDIT Al Kamil is carried out in a structured and directed manner to shape students' Islamic character. The BPI program is held once a week, held on Fridays at 12.35-13.35. Students are formed in the dynamics of akhwat/brotherhood groups. The curriculum used is based on SIT Quality standards. Supporting factors for implementing the BPI Program in forming Islamic character at SDIT Al Kamil include, firstly the curriculum, secondly support from JSIT, school principals, foundations, parents and committees, thirdly teachers, fourthly the person in charge of BPI, fifthly is evaluation. Meanwhile, the factors inhibiting the implementation of the BPI Program in forming Islamic character at SDIT Al Kamil include time, thepresence of other activities, lack of parental role, curriculum preparation that isnot yet optimal and the teacher BPI program that is not yet optimal. The effectiveness of the BPI Program informing Islamic character can be measured by increasing students' knowledge about Islam, students' morals and awareness in worship.
