ANALISIS MINAT MASYARAKAT MENABUNG DI BANK SYARIAH INDONESIA (BSI) CABANG KCP SUBULUSSALAM 3

Abstract

This study aims to describe the factors that influence people's interest in saving at Bank Syariah Indonesia's Subulussalam 3 branch, as well as the obstacles that influence people in using the products of Perbankan Syariah Indonesia's
Subulussalam 3 branch.

The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique used was to interview 8 customers selected at random using a semi-structured interview, not to mention observation and documentation carried out simultaneously when the researcher went into the field.

The results of this study show that the community's interest in saving at Bank Syariah Indonesia's KCP Subulussalam 3 branch is quite high, with the influencing factors being location distance, service, facilities/services, products, religiosity, and cultural environment. There are two factors that hinder the community from using Islamic banking products. First, the lack of promotion and socialisation carried out by the bank so that the community is unaware of the benefits and  products of Perbankan Syariah Indonesia. Second, network disruptions in service facilities such as ATMs and BSI Mobile, which were inaccessible in May 2023 and experienced disruptions during rainy weather accompanied by lightning.
