DAKWAH, MENGAJAK BUKAN MENGHAKIMI

Abstrak

In principle, da'wah is an effort to invite people to goodness. However, it is
suspected that several groups have discovered the phenomenon of da'wah where
preachers like to give verdicts to mad'u who have already committed immorality or
mistakes. The form can take the form of blaming, criticizing, humiliating,
proselytizing and even leading to infidelity. So it gives the impression that it is as
if the door to repentance has been closed for the perpetrator of the sin, thus making
him despair of Allah's grace and forgiveness.
This article tries to restore an understanding of da'wah based on basic theories of
da'wah. Where da'wah is not actually an activity to impose the will or understanding
of those who understand Islam on those who are deemed not to understand Islam.
In fact, da'wah is an effort to increase the capacity of the human community based
on what they themselves have.
The method of this article is a literature study using literature written by known
Da'wah activists. Both classic and contemporary.
