KISAH ASHAB AL KAHFI DALAM PERSPEKTIF SEJARAH DAKWAH ISLAM
Kata Kunci:
history, da'wah, ashab al kahfiAbstrak
This article aims to reconstruct the Ashab al Akhfi incident systematically
and objectively, as a historical event. Evidence is obtained from secondary written
sources such as Tafsir Books (Thabary, Qurthuby and Ibn Abbas). Also some
Christian sources. The information collected is then evaluated, verified and
systematized to establish facts in order to obtain strong conclusions.
The writing structure is prepared by answering six questions (5 Ws and 1
H) which are the basic elements of historical writing, namely what (what / what
events) happened? When (when) did it happen? Where (where) did it happen? Who
(who) was involved in that incident? Why (why) did that event occur? How did the
incident occur?
In the writing process, the events of Ashab al Kahfi were described by
answering the basic questions mentioned above. The answers to these questions are
structured descriptively, comparatively and analytically. Descriptive, namely
describing events based on evidence. Comparative, namely describing events, also
includes efforts to compare them with other realities, in different spaces and times.
Analytical means trying to understand the details of the relationships that exist in
the events described. Then a synthesis of things that are useful for the present is
carried out. Because writing history is required to produce explanations (clarity)
regarding the significance and meaning of events.
