This study aims to determine the professionalism of teachers at Madina
Islamic School Elementary School, Tebet. This research uses a qualitative
description approach. The data collection techniques used were observation,
interview and documentation methods. Interviews were conducted with the
principal, vice principal for curriculum, vice principal for student affairs, several
teachers and several parents of students at SD Madina Islamic School. The
research was conducted for 5 months (February to June 2022) in the 2021-2022
school year.
The results of this study indicate that the professionalism of teachers at SD
Madina Islamic School has met the standards of teacher professionalism which
includes the physical dimension, mental dimension, scientific or knowledge
dimension, and skill dimension. With some things that must be considered, namely
the existence of support from the school to support the teaching and learning
activities of teachers, the holding of ceremonies, and the provision of health checks
for teachers.
The conclusion obtained is the professionalism of teachers in carrying out
their duties and roles as teachers well. Teachers try to fulfill professional criteria
from the physical, mental, scientific or knowledge dimensions, and the skills
dimension. Teachers' efforts in time management to achieve the specified targets
and discipline in the teaching process. School support is very important in
supporting the process of increasing teacher professionalism at Madina Islamic
School Elementary School.
